Pure Evil

Charles Uzzell-Edwards, born in 1968 in South Wales, is a celebrated Welsh graffiti artist known as "Pure Evil." The son of painter John Uzzell Edwards, he studied fashion and graphics in London before joining the vibrant West Coast graffiti and electronic music scenes in San Francisco. Returning to London, he became involved in Banksy’s “Santa’s Ghetto” and developed his iconic “Nightmare” series, featuring pop culture icons marked with a single tear to symbolize lost innocence. In 2007, he founded the Pure Evil Gallery in Shoreditch, London, promoting both his work and emerging street artists. His art has since been exhibited worldwide, blending pop culture and street art influences.
