Don Hatfield

Don Hatfield, born in 1947 in Long Beach, California, is a renowned American Romantic Impressionist painter celebrated for his luminous portrayals of everyday life. Initially pursuing studies in philosophy, theology, and literature, Hatfield’s artistic journey began after a chance meeting with portraitist Charles Cross, who mentored him in painting. Despite a period devoted to ministry, his passion for art led him to refine his craft under master painter Sergei Bongart. His works, often depicting serene beach scenes and intimate family moments, are distinguished by soft pastel hues and masterful use of light. Today, Hatfield’s paintings are held in prestigious private and corporate collections worldwide.
