Invader

Invader born in 1969 in Paris, France is a pioneering French street artist renowned for his pixelated mosaic works inspired by 1970s and 1980s 8-bit video games like Space Invaders, Pac-Man, and Super Mario Bros. Graduating from the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris, he began his "Invasions" in 1996, installing ceramic tile mosaics in cities worldwide, including Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. His works often appear in culturally significant locations, such as the Hollywood Sign, where he placed mosaics on all nine letters. In addition to his street installations, Invader has created QR code mosaics and "Rubikcubism" pieces using stacked Rubik's Cubes. His art has become a global phenomenon, with over 4,000 mosaics in 79 cities across 20 countries, and he continues to captivate audiences with his unique blend of digital nostalgia and urban creativity.
